90 Crusher Plant: Hard Rock, Reinforced Concrete Recycling and 0-5 mm Sand

Published: · Updated:
90 Crusher Plant – 900x650 mm Jaw Crusher for Hard Rock and Recycling

In the industry, a "90 crusher" means a jaw crusher with a 900x650 mm feed opening, built to break hard rock. Our company has been producing crushing, screening and washing plants since 1976 without ever lowering its quality standard, and our engineering team supports operators planning a stationary or mobile 90 crusher plant from the first sketch to commissioning; we strongly recommend talking to our specialists before you commit to the investment. The main reason to choose this crusher is a deposit that is both hard and high in SiO2. Typical applications are basalt crushing, river material processing, chrome beneficiation and, increasingly in recent years, recycling plants.

In recycling, the goal is to reduce demolished reinforced concrete back down to sand. Concrete containing steel can damage other crusher types, whereas the 90 crusher, and jaw crusher plants in general, are built precisely for this kind of work.

If the goal is to bring the material down to sand size, the 90 primary cannot do it alone; second-stage crushers and screens that split the product into sizes have to be added behind it. The flow works like this: the first product leaving the 90 crusher at 7-14 mm must be passed on to the secondary crusher. This step is unavoidable when the final product has to be 0-5 mm, and 0-5 mm is at the top of the list of fractions requested by concrete producers.

Depending on the required capacity, a third crusher can also be placed in the line. Some limestone quarries also opt for a 90 crusher; the aim there is to keep the plant's spare part consumption as low as possible. Jaw castings, the fastest-wearing parts in the line, are always available in our stockyard in the required specifications. Our fast response to spare part and maintenance-repair requests is one of the main reasons users have chosen us for years, and we intend to keep it that way.

Designing a plant starts with information gathered before manufacturing begins: the type of material to be crushed, its moisture content, its piece dimensions (width, height, diameter), the required final product sizes and the blend ratios of the materials. More important than all of these is what the customer expects. Machines matching the capacity are then selected, and while manufacturing is under way, additions or changes may be made to the line according to the characteristics of the site. Once the technical drawing of the machine park is ready, our field specialist and engineer visit the customer together with the concrete foundation drawings and discuss the work to be done on site. When manufacturing is complete, the plant is placed on the appropriate concrete foundation, assembly is followed by 3 days of test runs, and the plant is handed over. After delivery, contact with the customer continues for regular maintenance and spare parts.

To look at a concrete example: in the system below, the 90 crusher is followed by a Kubitzer in the second stage and then by tertiary crushers, and the line is designed for a 50% dust ratio. Instead of this classic layout, you can also choose our Mobile Crushing Plants, which gather the whole plant onto a single chassis. Suitable for feeding by both truck and loader, these systems take on, single-handedly and on one chassis, the work that many separate pieces of equipment share in a classic crusher plant.
