General 950 in Diyarbakır: A Mobile Line With Low Wear-Part Use on Abrasive Rock

We have finished the mobile crushing plant installation of a General 950 in Diyarbakır, and we wish our customer every success. A new-generation, fully automatic stone crushing and screening plant, the GNR 950 differs from ordinary mobile crushers by keeping spare-part consumption to a minimum even on hard, abrasive material.

Crusher selection is behind this. The General 950 mobile crusher runs a GPJ 90 jaw crusher at the primary stage. Because a jaw breaks material by squeezing it, it wears far more slowly than an impact body on abrasive rock such as basalt, granite and iron ore. The cubical product comes from the DMK01 impact crusher at the secondary stage.

Line capacity is 120-180 t/h; the feed opening is 800 mm and the screen measures 1600×5000 mm with 3 decks.

With hard rock, the real calculation lies in wear-part cost.

A line built around an impact crusher alone in the same quarry might turn out more tonnage, but blow bar consumption would raise the cost per tonne. Pairing a jaw crusher at the primary stage with an impact crusher at the secondary stage is the way to keep that cost low.
