Cement Silo — Bolted & Welded, 30-2500 Ton
A cement silo is a vertical or horizontal steel store that keeps cement isolated from the environment at a concrete batching plant and feeds it to the weigh hopper in a controlled way. General Makina silos are built as a bolted body (knocked-down for easy transport and installation) or a welded body; plate thickness is stepped at 8-6-5 mm. The standard range is 30-100 ton, and custom manufacturing reaches up to 50-2500 ton. Every unit is ISO 9001 and CE certified.
How it works
- Filling: cement is loaded from the top by tanker via pneumatic (compressed-air) filling.
- Fluidizing jets: 3 jets at the silo bottom keep the cement flowing, preventing caking and bridging.
- Feeding: a screw (auger) conveyor carries cement from the silo bottom to the weigh hopper on top of the mixer.
- Dust control: the top filter captures dust during filling; the safety valve relieves overpressure.
- Stock tracking: min/max level indicators (2) monitor the cement stock.
