General 944 for Granite and Basalt: a 200-250 t/h Crushing Plant on Its Way to Africa
Published: · Updated:

Designed with the latest technology, the new General 944 has joined our family of stone crushing and screening plants, and its first unit is now on its way to Africa. With a capacity of 200-250 t/h, the plant was developed for crushing hard stone such as granite and basalt, and it brings a fresh approach to this field.

The General 944 is equipped with:
- 15 m³ rock feeder
- 900x650 jaw crusher
- Sandvik CH 440 cone crusher
- High-stroke vibrating screen with 2x7.5 kW motors
- Stockpile conveyors
- Electrical panels and hydraulic unit
- 550 kW generator
In hard stone, the choice of crusher type is really a cost decision. An impact body may deliver more tonnage in the same quarry, but frequent replacement of its impact parts pushes up the cost per tonne, whereas compression crushers such as the jaw and cone keep that expense low.
