General Makina Crushing Plant in Kosovo

Manufacturing of the crushing plant has been completed, transport arrangements are finished and it has set off. The plant, which will be used in Kosovo, can produce fill material at a capacity of 350 tonnes per hour.

Fill material is a different target from aggregate. While concrete aggregate calls for grain shape and a narrow fraction, what matters in fill is compactibility; widely graded material reduces the void ratio when compacted. That changes the screening arrangement of the line, and the cubicity expected from the crusher moves into the background.

350 tonnes is a band that feeds road and infrastructure work.

At that tonnage the line is sized together with the primary crusher, the screening stage and the conveyor runs; since the slowest stage sets the capacity, the screen area is selected according to the crusher capacity.

For projects whose quarry will stay on the same site for years, a stationary crushing plant is installed; a line seated on foundations runs more steadily at high tonnage and keeps maintenance costs low.
