Somalia Project: A 90 Stationary Crushing Plant Rated at 120-180 t/h

Export has begun of a 2025-model stationary crushing plant we built for a customer operating in Somalia. At the heart of this 90 line, rated at 120 to 180 tonnes per hour, are two machines: the GPJ Series 90 Primary Jaw Crusher and the DMK 01 Secondary Impact Crusher.

In quarries working stone of medium hardness, following a jaw primary with an impact secondary is a widely used layout. The roles are clearly split: the jaw crusher squeezes the coarse run-of-mine material down to size, while the impact crusher shapes the particles into a cubical product.

Choosing a stationary installation for Somalia was a considered decision.

When a quarry is going to be worked in the same spot for many years, a line set on concrete runs more steadily. Because the ground absorbs vibration better, wear parts last longer between changes and maintenance spending stays lower than on a mobile line.

Where logistics distances are long, the decision brings one more benefit: a stationary line that needs fewer part changes relies less on the supply chain running between port and site. When sizing the jaw crusher, the dimension is taken from the largest block the quarry will deliver.
