Afyonkarahisar International Block Marble Fair Wrapped Up: Our Marble Crushing and Screening Plants Drew Attention

At the fair, General Makina presented its marble crushing and screening plants first and foremost; alongside them, we showed visitors the various stone crushing and screening machines and concrete batching plants that we manufacture and export.

From a crushing point of view, marble is a material with a behaviour of its own. When pieces left over from block cutting and quarry waste are recovered, dust has to be kept under control and the easily broken structure of the grain has to be taken into account. When the line is designed, the crusher type is chosen on the basis of these two criteria.

A marble quarry does not change location.

For operations that will work on the same site for many years, a stationary crushing and screening plant comes to the fore. A line fixed to a foundation produces at high capacity, maintenance spending stays low and, because the ground absorbs vibration better, wear parts last longer. A concrete batching plant calls for a different planning logic: capacity, silo volume and automation are sized together. In operations that set up both lines on the same site, the aggregate feed is planned jointly as well.
