2nd Afyonkarahisar International Block Marble Fair

Venue: Afyonkarahisar International Fair, Congress & Exhibition Area - Afyonkarahisar Centre/Afyonkarahisar - Turkiye. We are at the 2nd Afyonkarahisar International Block Marble Fair.

The fair was held for the first time in 2025 and the organisation is run by ALZ Grup. What sets it apart from other natural stone fairs is that it is built around raw marble blocks rather than processed products: it brings quarry owners and buyers together directly.

Behind the sale of blocks there is also residual material.

Pieces that cannot be used as blocks at the quarry, together with cutting residues, turn into aggregate once they pass through a crushing and screening line. Thanks to its low abrasiveness, marble runs efficiently in an impact crusher; wear part consumption stays below that of a hard granite line.

Afyonkarahisar is one of Turkiye's principal marble production centres, and this is exactly what we discuss with operators who want to make use of quarry residue - which fraction will come out of which crusher.
