At the 10th AddisBuild Construction, Iron and Machinery Fair in Ethiopia

We attended the 10th edition of AddisBuild, the construction, iron and machinery fair that ranks among Africa's leading industry gatherings. As one of Türkiye's foremost manufacturers of stone crushing and screening plants, we met Ethiopian visitors in Addis Ababa.

The venue was Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa, with Expotim International Fair Organizations running the show. The range on display was broad: building materials, construction and earthmoving machinery, iron and steel products, as well as stone processing and aggregate equipment, all under one roof.

The event later carried on under a new name.

In 2020 dmg events took over the organisation and the fair was renamed The Big 5 Construct Ethiopia. AddisBuild is no longer held as a separate brand, so there are not two different fairs: the same event has simply changed its name.

Talks with Ethiopian investors usually open with two questions: what stone comes out of the quarry, and how many tons per hour are needed? Once both answers are known, whether to build a stationary crushing plant or a mobile line largely decides itself.
