We Exhibited at the 8th AddisBuild Construction Fair in Ethiopia (13-16 October 2017)

On 13-16 October 2017 we took part in the 8th AddisBuild International Construction, Construction Equipment and Technologies Fair held in Ethiopia. Throughout the fair we had the opportunity to present our products to construction companies arriving from many different countries.

At that time AddisBuild took place every year and was set up at the Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa. The fair was organised by Expotim International Fair Organizations.

Buyers in East Africa generally ask about the whole line rather than a single machine.

Most visitors want to source the entire plant, from the feeder to the stockpile conveyor, from one supplier. The reason is very practical: fitting machines from different manufacturers together on site drags out commissioning, and when a fault occurs it becomes unclear who is responsible.

The second topic we heard often at the fair was spare parts. We manufacture our wear parts from austenitic manganese steel and high-chrome cast material. On sites where logistics take a long time, deciding which parts to keep in stock locally becomes part of installation planning.
