WCI Forum 2021: Notes From the Business Forum Linking Turkish Manufacturers and African Buyers

As a company that manufactures stone crushing and screening plants and concrete batching plants, we met our customers at WCI Forum. We are grateful for the interest shown by our customers from different countries, African countries in particular.

WCI Forum is short for World Cooperation Industries Forum. The event is not a fair but a forum built on one-to-one business meetings. It pairs manufacturers and exporters from Türkiye with buyers, distributors and investors from African countries.

This structure also changes the nature of the conversations.

At a fair you chat with a visitor passing in front of the stand; at this forum, the person sitting opposite you is a buyer who has booked an appointment and knows what they want. The conversation soon leaves the introduction behind and focuses on technical specifications and delivery terms.

In the African market the topic asked about most is usually service. As much as the installation of the line itself, how quickly a spare part will reach the site in the event of a breakdown plays a decisive role in the decision.
