Saudi Build 2023 Stand Notes: Uninterrupted Crushing and Screening in Desert Conditions

In the Gulf region, aggregate demand follows the pace of infrastructure investment. When road, housing and industrial projects advance in the same period, the most important quality expected from a crushing and screening line is not peak tonnage but production that keeps running without interruption.

Desert sites impose their own conditions on equipment.

Dust is the factor that shortens machine life the most. That is why the sealing of bearings and drive groups, and how often filters are taken in for maintenance, are among the first topics discussed for these sites. High ambient temperature, in turn, decides which oil is used and how much cooling capacity is needed.

Since most projects in Saudi Arabia are run against a specification, the particle shape and cleanliness of the aggregate also come to the table. Which stages the line will include is decided on the basis of the quarry analysis.

The conversations at our stand mostly revolved around two questions: how many hours a day will the line run, and how long will it take for wear parts to reach the site? Together, the answers to these two questions determine the real annual output achieved on site.
