General Makina Grows in Africa

Having sold many plants to different countries on the African continent this year, General Makina came together with trade officials from Benin, Togo, Mali, Senegal and Niger at its main production facility in İzmir.

Crushing and screening demand in the West African market is driven by two items: road construction and housing investment. Because each calls for different fractions, the line is planned as dual purpose from the start.

Seeing the production facility is part of the purchasing process.

In distant markets the buyer wants to see the machine with their own eyes before delivery; inspecting the weld quality and assembly discipline of a line under manufacture on the spot is more convincing than a catalogue.

The subject asked about most during these visits is service: how long parts supply takes and whether a technical team will be on site during commissioning come before capacity at the decision stage.
