PDK Crushing and Screening Plant to Astana, Kazakhstan

Assembly of our stationary PDK 900 crushing and screening plant, installed for a limestone operation in Astana, Kazakhstan, has been completed. Alongside the crushers used at the primary and secondary stages, the plant uses a high stroke vibrating screen of 1600x5000 mm; the line runs in closed circuit.

A high stroke means that the distance the screen travels in one vibration is large. This makes material advance faster across the screen surface and reduces blinding.

In limestone this characteristic pays off.

A considerable amount of fine material is released as limestone is crushed; a high stroke screen passes that fine load through without letting it build up on the surface, and so preserves screening efficiency.

The closed circuit sends oversize material retained on the screen back to the crusher: out-of-size material never reaches the stockpile area, and no second operation is needed for separation.
