Mobile 90 Bauxite Crushing and Screening Plant Delivered to Our Customer

General Makina continues to produce crushing and screening plants for the bauxite sector. The mobile bauxite crushing and screening plant, for which we completed the planning, design, manufacturing and shipment stages, has been delivered to our customer.

Bauxite is crushed with a different target from aggregate. As it is the raw material of aluminium production, what is sought here is not grain shape but a size ready for grinding and a consistent grading.

That changes the layout of the line.

Since cubicity is not a concern, tertiary and vertical shaft stages are unnecessary; on the other hand a narrow size distribution becomes important, which makes screening performance the decisive factor.

The reason a mobile setup is preferred lies in how the mineral is worked: because bauxite deposits spread over wide areas, letting the line advance together with the face shortens the haulage distance. Every extra kilometre a truck covers means fuel spent on unprocessed material.
