A 500 t/h Stationary Screening Plant for Kosovo: Classification Without a Crusher

We have completed the sale of a stationary screening plant with a screening capacity of 500 tonnes per hour, which will soon begin production in Kosovo. Because General Makina can manufacture in its own workshops every piece of equipment a stone crushing and screening plant requires, single-purpose lines like this one are designed with the same experience.

A screening plant does not have to be built together with a crushing plant; it can be set up as an independent investment. If the material arriving from the quarry is already at the required size, or if crushing takes place somewhere else, the only remaining job is classification.

On such a line, screen area sits at the heart of the calculation.

Capacity is not set by crusher power; it is set by how long the material stays on the screen surface. If the surface is too small, particles fall through before they reach the end of the deck without being separated, and the fractions overlap.

Most similar investments in the Balkans are made to broaden the product range of a quarry that is already operating. An operation selling a single fraction adds screening to its line and begins to obtain several different products from the same run-of-quarry material.
