PDK 02 for Libya: A Stationary Stone Crushing Plant With an Impact Crusher Up Front

At our customer's site in Libya, the stationary PDK 02 line for crushing and screening stone has been erected and is ready for commissioning. Its capacity is 200 - 300 tonnes per hour.

An impact crusher works at the first stage of the PDK 02. Crushing by impact reduces the run-of-quarry feed substantially in a single pass, and because it yields cubical particles it is the choice of operations producing concrete aggregate.

A stationary layout was chosen on purpose here.

If a quarry is going to be worked at the same spot for many years, fixing the line to concrete brings two benefits: vibration stays under control and the alignment between stages becomes permanent. Settings that would have to be repeated each time a mobile chassis is moved are made once and left alone.

The 200-300 tonne band is enough to supply a single construction site or a medium-sized concrete batching plant, and the scale needed by reconstruction projects in the region mostly falls into this range. On top of that, this capacity represents a workload that can comfortably be handled in one shift.

Because the line stays fixed in place, stockpiles and truck routes around it can also be laid out permanently, which makes daily loading more regular and reduces lost time on site.
