Georgia Shipment: Mobile 110 Jaw Crusher and 800×8000 mm Screw Washing Secondary

A two-unit line built for Georgia's largest construction company has left the factory: up front a mobile 110 jaw crusher, behind it a mobile washing secondary crusher fitted with an 800x8000 mm screw (gnr-dmk03).

The 110 body is where the line begins. With its 1100×850 mm opening, the GNRK 110 takes coarse run-of-mine feed straight from the face and squeezes hard rock such as granite, basalt or river stone down to size. Because a jaw works by compression, its wear parts last considerably longer in these abrasive materials than they would in an impact-type body.

In the second stage the focus shifts to cleanliness.

An 800×8000 mm screw has been placed at the outlet of the secondary crusher. Soil, clay and silt clinging to the crushed stone are rubbed off by the turning spiral, so the aggregate arriving at the stockpile has already been washed.

This is the best-known recipe for concrete aggregate that meets specification: the crusher decides the size, the washer decides the cleanliness. Where a quarry carries a lot of clay, concrete simply will not reach its target strength unless a washing stage is added.
