GNR VSI 900 Delivered to Georgia: A Vertical Shaft Crusher That Raises the Fines Ratio

We have completed the export of a GNR VSI 900 vertical shaft impact crusher for our customer in Georgia. Known for its strong results in high-capacity sand production, the machine is what we recommend to sand quarry operators who want to increase the share of 0.5 mm material; the GNR VSI 900 is offered in both stationary and mobile versions.

A sand quarry's profitability depends less on tonnage than on the fines ratio. How much of the material passing through the same line turns into a saleable sand fraction has a direct effect on revenue per tonne.

That ratio is exactly what a vertical shaft crusher pushes up.

The rotor accelerates the material and throws it outward, so each grain is rounded off at the corners as it breaks. Compared with crushers that work by compression, the result is both more fines and a more cubical product, which is why this stage is placed at the end of the line in quarries where there is demand for manufactured sand.

Whether to go stationary or mobile depends on the life of the quarry: if the reserve will last for many years, the stationary vertical shaft crusher on a foundation makes more sense; if the site changes often, the mobile GNR MVSI 900 with its own power pack takes the lead.
