What Is a Wobbler Feeder

In the footage the successive motion of the elliptical discs lined up side by side is clearly seen carrying the material forward while at the same time tossing it up and down. During this movement soil, clay and fine material fall through the gaps between the discs, while coarse stone travels along the surface and heads for the crusher mouth.

A conventional grizzly feeder blocks up quickly against moist clay and loses its separating function. The constantly changing opening of the elliptical shafts in the video lets the apertures clean themselves; that way pre-separation does not stop even in the rainy season, and only the material that needs crushing enters the crusher.
