GNR-YM1650 Mobile Washing and Screening Plant

The GNR-YM1650 mobile washing and screening plant is shown in the recording working at full capacity under plenty of water. The camera positions itself first at the feed hopper and then above the washing screen.

In the footage the dirty, clayey material is seen spreading over the screen decks, and the fine material between the grains separating under the water sprayed from above. While the muddy water passing through the screen surface collects in the lower tank, the cleaned aggregate is transferred by belts to separate cones. It can be noticed that the colour of the material in the cones is markedly lighter than the run-of-mine at the inlet.

No clay residue is visible on the discharge material.

The result of washing directly determines the saleability of the aggregate. Grains left with a film of clay on their surface cannot bond sufficiently with cement; concrete strength drops, and in asphalt the bitumen does not adhere. The clean discharge in the recording shows that the water flow rate and the screen inclination have been correctly balanced.

The fact that the plant is built on a mobile chassis allows it to be moved between different faces at sand quarries throughout the season.
