In the footage the GNR MEY 1650 mobile sand and clay washing and screening plant is seen working in water. As the camera passes along the side of the plant, the discharge path of the turbid water overflowing from the washing trough is clearly visible.
The recording covers the feed hopper, the washing screen, the screw body and the dewatering screen in order. The moment the material is separated from its clay load by the water curtain coming out of the spray pipes over the screen can be followed in close-up.
Water usage is the determining factor here.
In material with a high clay content, washing efficiency depends directly on spray pressure and on the residence time inside the screw; when that time is shortened the clay stays stuck to the grain and reduces concrete strength. The staged washing arrangement seen in the video was set up to reduce this risk.
The section that provides the plant's fine material recovery is the part that stands out most in the recording; the Fine Material Screw Washer unit working on the same principle can also be used separately.
