GNR 950 Series Mobile Basalt & Granite Crushing and Screening Plant

In this video the GNR 950 series mobile plant is shown working on hard rock of high abrasiveness such as basalt and granite; the dark colour of the material and its sharp fracture surfaces are immediately noticeable in the frame.

In the images the blocks descending from the feeder to the jaw crusher are seen being forced apart and broken at the jaw mouth, and then the angular material on the intermediate belt being carried to the secondary stage. The hardness of the grains bouncing on the screen can be read even from the vibration behaviour; the return belt, meanwhile, puts the remaining coarse material back into the line.

In hard rock the real issue is the rate of wear.

Basalt and granite consume jaw plates and screen meshes many times faster than soft stone such as limestone. The staged crushing arrangement in the video distributes the reduction ratio along the line instead of loading it onto a single unit; in this way both part life is extended and product cubicity is preserved. The real cost of the investment is hidden in this detail.
