A 500 tonne/hour capacity crushing plant documented in production, with the screen as the decisive point at high capacity.
The footage documents the 500 tonne/hour capacity crushing plant in production. As the camera moves from the feed end of the line towards the product piles, the length of the plant is grasped in a single flow.
In the recording the coarse material tipped into the hopper is separated on the vibrating feeder, descends into the primary impact crusher and at the discharge is carried by belt to the screen decks. The moment the coarse fraction on top of the screen is transferred to the return belt is also clearly seen.
At high capacity the bottleneck forms at the screen.
Even if the crusher meets the feed, if the screen area is insufficient the material accumulates on the screen and actual production falls below the target; that is why the screen surface is sized according to the crusher capacity. The wide screen body in the video was chosen precisely to strike this balance.
