Visitation of Our Facility in Afyon City

Our vertical shaft impact crusher, the GNR VSI 900, is in Afyon. The machine works in the shaping stage added after primary and secondary crushing.

The job of a vertical shaft impactor is not reduction. It accelerates the material with a vertical rotor and throws it against an anvil or against its own rock bed; it shapes the grain rather than breaking it.

The stage sits at the end of the line.

It is brought in when cubical aggregate and manufactured sand are required, and the feed size is kept narrow. Without inlet control, rotor wear accelerates and the production cost exceeds the value of the output.

The prevalence of marble and natural stone operations around Afyon makes this stage especially worthwhile: quarry residue and cutting waste turn into saleable aggregate once they pass through the shaping stage. Otherwise that material remains a burden occupying storage space. Because the shaping stage converts something the quarry already produces into a revenue item, the investment pays back quickly.
