MVSI 800 Mobile VSI Crushing and Screening Plant on Its Way to the Customer

We have completed the shipment of the MVSI 800 mobile vertical shaft impact crushing and screening plant. With this plant, high-quality sand and chippings can be produced to match requirements. As General Makina, we handle every stage of crushing and screening plants, from planning and engineering through manufacturing, shipment and installation.

The main job of a vertical shaft impactor is to shape the particle rather than to reduce it. Material is accelerated by a rotor spinning on a vertical axis and thrown against an anvil or against a bed of its own material; this "stone-on-stone" principle creates the cubical form that sand and chippings need. Size reduction comes second.
That is why this stage sits at the end of the line.
Feed size has to be kept within a narrow range: the VSI receives material that has already passed through earlier crushers, not large lumps. If the size entering the machine is not controlled, the rotor and wear parts are used up much faster than expected.
Thanks to its wheeled mobile chassis, the MVSI 800 can be taken straight from the factory to the construction site or quarry, cutting transport costs. Compared with stationary plants, it is installed and ready to produce in far less time. It adapts to a wide range of uses, from manufactured sand production to the recycling of construction waste. With low wear costs and optional soft starter automation it saves energy, and operating costs remain reasonable.
Cubical grains reduce the water demand of concrete and strengthen the interlock between aggregate particles in asphalt. The return on investing in a shaping stage shows most clearly in these two applications.
