The Big 5 Construct Ethiopia

Our first day at The Big 5 Construct Ethiopia Construction, Construction Machinery and Infrastructure Fair, held in Ethiopia on 18, 19 and 20 May 2023, is proving very busy.

The opening day is usually the busiest. Visitors have not yet walked the whole hall, so they are not comparing anything; their questions stay broad and open to introduction.

As the days go on, the questions narrow.

A visitor who has already walked the competitors' stands no longer asks about capacity but about difference: where two lines delivering the same tonnage diverge in wear cost, energy consumption and service support. That comparison usually runs on field references rather than on catalogues.

For that reason the technical documentation kept at the stand changes over the course of the fair; the general catalogue leads on day one, while capacity tables based on quarry analysis and references from installed plants come out on the following days.
