Jijiga, Ethiopia: 120-150 t/h Basalt Crushing and Screening Plant Handed Over

Another project has been added to our work in Africa. Our technical team has finished on-site assembly and trial runs of the basalt crushing and screening plant shipped to the Jijiga region of Ethiopia, and the plant has been handed over to the customer.

Jijiga's geography and geology are dominated by hard basalt formations that are tough to break and extremely abrasive. The plant was designed specifically with these demanding terrain and mining conditions in mind and runs at an average output of 120 – 150 tonnes per hour.

With a 3-stage crusher arrangement that stays durable while breaking hard rock, our customer now supplies aggregate meeting international standards to infrastructure and construction projects in the region. Bringing Turkish engineering to sites on other continents is a particular source of pride for us.

On a rock as hard as basalt, splitting the crushing work across three stages lets each machine operate within its own size range. Since no single crusher is asked for a very high reduction ratio, wear is spread more evenly, stoppages become less frequent and the grain shape of the final product is easier to control.
