PDK 01 Fixed Stone Crushing and Screening Plant Installation

Assembly work has started on the PDK 01 stone crushing and screening plant with a capacity of 350 tonnes per hour in Macedonia.

The PDK family works with a primary impact crusher; it reduces feed material considerably in a single stage and lightens the load on the following stages. Impact crushing is preferred in aggregate production where a cubical grain shape is wanted.

350 tonnes is a threshold at which a stationary installation makes sense.

At this tonnage the conveyor runs get longer, the screen area grows and the power demand rises; seating all of it on a foundation both keeps vibration under control and makes the alignment between stages permanent.

During assembly, the most time-consuming task is not positioning the crusher but setting the level differences between stages; material flowing by gravity depends on that adjustment. When the levels are set correctly, no intermediate transfer pump or extra conveyor is needed, which reduces both energy use and maintenance items.
