General Makina, the leading manufacturer of mobile crushing and screening plants, took part in the Antalya CM EXPO Construction, Construction Equipment and Technology Fair between 4-7 October 2017.

What a mobile plant brings to the site is speed. Carried on a single chassis, the line starts working without waiting for a concrete foundation or a long assembly period, and when the quarry changes it is towed away without being dismantled. Because the feeder, crusher, screen and conveyors arrive connected on the same chassis, the work done on site is commissioning rather than erection.

A stationary plant is a different calculation.

For operations whose quarry will remain on the same site for years, the stationary crusher plant runs at higher capacity and lower maintenance cost. Since vibration is damped better on a line seated on a foundation, wear part life is also longer.

Two pieces of information determine the choice: how many years of life the site has left, and the annual tonnage target. Once these two are clear, the plant configuration, the crusher type and the screen decks become clear as well.
