Ege Celik – Izmir Vibrating Screen

We have completed the transport of the GE-2 heavy duty vibrating screen we manufactured for Ege Çelik. Built with 2 decks, the GE-2 is designed to offer high performance and a long service life in screening slag and similar materials of various types.

Slag is a different material from natural aggregate. It comes out as a by-product of steel production and, since it can contain metal particles, the load bearing on the screen surface is heavier.

This is where the heavy duty designation comes from.

The thickness of the body plates, the choice of springs and bearings and the type of screen mesh are selected to be more durable than in a standard aggregate screen; otherwise the screen life falls far short of expectations.

Recovering slag is also an environmental gain: instead of being dumped, it can be sized and reused as road fill and as a cement additive.
