General 944 — Mobile Jaw + Cone Crushing & Screening Plant

The General 944 teams a GPJ 90 primary jaw with a GM430 cone secondary on a wheeled crushing-and-screening chassis. Working at 120-180 tph, it is made for punishing, abrasive stone — basalt, granite, iron ore, chrome and quartz. It takes an 800 mm feed and finishes on a 1600×5000 mm three-deck horizontal screen into 0-5 / 5-12 / 12-19 mm fractions. Because the cone secondary crushes by compression, the metal lasts longer and the product stays cubical even in gritty rock.

Crushing sequence

The chain moves through feed, a two-stage jaw-and-cone crush, then screening:

• Hopper with vibrating feeder: a loader or truck tips the run-of-mine in.
• GPJ 90 primary jaw: crushes hard rock up to 800 mm in the first stage.
• GM430 secondary cone: compression crushing for a cubical, low-wear second stage.
• 1600×5000 mm three-deck horizontal screen + bypass/return/stockpile belts.

Both the gradation and the mesh apertures are set per order to match the rock.

Suitable materials

Hard, abrasive quarries are the 944's element: basalt, granite, iron ore, chrome and quartz. Crushing by compression, the cone secondary wears far more slowly than an impactor would in high-silica, gritty feed. When the rock is soft limestone with little abrasion, the primary-impact 800/01/02/03 works out cheaper.

Two sibling models of identical size and weight; the choice depends on the secondary character — choose the 944 for a cone in abrasive stone, the 950 for high reduction and cubical product.

Single-source plant

Crushing, screening and washing are supplied by General Makina as a single package, with a concrete batching plant available on the same order. The General 944 is drawn into that integrated line beside additional crushers and washers, so the buyer keeps one interlocutor, one warranty owner and one aligned parts channel.
