GNR K Series Cubicizer Crusher

The GNR K series cubicizer crusher shapes flaky/elongated grains into cubical ones and lowers the Flakiness Index. The aim is not reduction but improving grain shape for concrete/asphalt and meeting ASTM C33-style shape requirements. It raises manufactured-sand quality.
Technical data

Working principle
Cubicizing is a function, not a separate crusher class; in practice a high-speed rotor/impact breaks and reshapes flaky grains (a relative of the VSI and special cone). Stage: tertiary/shaping.
Material and application
Suitable: crushed aggregate with a flaky/elongated grain problem — mainly shape correction for concrete/asphalt spec; limestone and medium-abrasive rock. Note: under very high-silica continuous abrasion, wear-part cost rises and ceramic/high-chrome is needed. Flakiness rises as feed size grows and speed drops.
Reduction and wear (TCO)
Reduction is low (for cubicizing); the target metric is a lower Flakiness Index and a higher cubical ratio. Wear parts are blow/shaping bars and liners: high-chrome or ceramic-MMC by material. As cubical product is premium-priced under concrete/asphalt spec, the added product value offsets part cost in the TCO.
The cubicizer completes manufactured-sand quality alongside the VSI and washing chain; we supply the line and concrete batching from a single source.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a cubicizer do?
It shapes flaky/elongated grains into cubical ones and lowers the Flakiness Index.
Does it reduce?
Little; its main function is shaping.
Why is cubical aggregate important?
Concrete strength and asphalt performance require shape specs (ASTM C33/EN).
How does it differ from a VSI?
It is in the same shaping family; the cubicizer is a dedicated shaping configuration.
