The General 950 mobile crusher plant has been recorded in this video at an African site, working at full load on its own installation area; the way the units are connected to each other and the path the material follows along the line can be seen from beginning to end.

The camera first follows the run-of-mine the excavator tips into the hopper, then the coarse blocks descending from the vibrating grizzly feeder into the jaw crusher. The material at the jaw mouth getting smaller stage by stage and dropping onto the intermediate belt, its transfer from there to the impact crusher, and the products separated by the screen decks collecting in individual stockpile cones are all followed in the same uninterrupted flow.

The small amount of dust rising is also striking.

At remote sites the value of a plant is measured as much by the number of hours it runs without breaking down as by its ease of installation. The even, unsegregated piling of the stockpile cones in the video shows that screen performance has been set correctly; the feeder working without hesitation shows that the line has been balanced without bottlenecks. This balance directly reduces the need for the site team to intervene.
