GM 90JP — Tracked Mobile Jaw Crusher

The GM 90JP is a self-driving tracked primary jaw crusher whose core is a GNR 90 jaw (95 kW) riding on Strickland tracks. Where wheeled plants are towed and pegged down, this one crawls on its own tracks and asks for no ground works or foundation. It handles feed up to 700 mm and does its primary crushing at 70-180 tph.

On-site operation

• Hopper: 10 m³ rock hopper.
• Feeding: an 820×3000 mm grizzly vibrating feeder (2×4.5 kW) pre-scalps fines.
• Crushing: GNR 90 primary jaw (95 kW).
• Conveying: 1000×12000 mm main conveyor.
• Screening: 1000×2000 mm double-deck screen; 600×6000 mm bypass conveyor.
• Undercarriage: Strickland tracks; 250 kVA power unit.

Primary jaw duty that shifts around a site or quarry, concrete and asphalt recycling and awkward, hard-to-reach ground all suit the GM 90JP. Once off the trailer it simply crawls into place under its own power — there are no hydraulic legs to set and no concrete to pour.

Track versus tyre

The GM range is track-mounted, sitting in the same class as Kleemann MOBICAT, Metso Lokotrack, Terex Finlay and Sandvik QJ. The wheeled General plants are trailered and set on hydraulic legs; the GM 90JP instead crawls under its own power, which pays off with frequent moves and rough ground. Inside the GM family the 90JP is the jaw member, and the GM 100/125 are the tracked impactors.
