Mobile Primary Impact Crushers

Mobile primary impact crushers are shown in this recording both in transport position and in production. After touring the unfolded chassis, the hopper and the crusher body, the camera takes the material inlet in close-up.

The internal arrangement of the primary impact crusher can be read in the images: the blow bars on the rotor strike the material, the flung grains hit the impact plates and are broken again, and as the plate gap is adjusted the output size changes. It is also observed how the coarse run-of-mine material discharged into the hopper passes through pre-screening on the grizzly feeder, how the fine part is separated by the side belt, and how the crushed product is carried to the stockpile cone by the main belt.

Crushing and initial screening are completed on the same chassis.

In the field, the value of this arrangement is that a high reduction ratio is obtained in a single stage. Unlike a jaw crusher, an impact crusher gives a cubical and more balanced grain shape, so it produces material that can be used directly as asphalt and concrete aggregate. In return, blow bar and plate consumption increases in highly abrasive materials; for this reason choosing the feed size and the material type correctly is critical.
