GNR MC110 Mobile Jaw Crusher: From Hopper to Discharge Belt

The GNR - MC110 mobile jaw crusher was recorded in this footage while working on its tracked chassis. The camera starts at the machine's hopper and moves to the jaw mouth and from there to the discharge belt.

The working principle of the jaw crusher is seen directly in the recording: as the moving jaw swings towards the fixed jaw, the blocks are compressed, broken and descend by gravity. It can also be observed how the coarse run-of-mine material discharged into the hopper passes through pre-separation on the grizzly feeder, how the fine material is separated by the side belt, and how the magnetic separator picks metal pieces off the belt.

The unit on tracks moves around inside the quarry on its own.

Its field equivalent is that primary crushing is taken to where the material is. Pulling up next to the pile after blasting, the MC110 minimises the need for haulage; the adjustable jaw setting makes it possible to obtain different output sizes from the same machine. Jaw plates and grizzly bars are the components that wear out most in this manner of working.

On lines working under continuous load like the one in the footage, preparing a stock of crusher wear parts in advance for planned replacement shortens downtime.
