WAMPEX 2025 Ghana: Crushing and Screening Talks in West African Mining

Throughout the WAMPEX mining and energy fair in Ghana, we got together with our visitors. Over the course of the fair we showcased the stone crushing, screening and washing plants and the concrete batching plants that we ship to different parts of the world.

WAMPEX is staged in Accra through a partnership of dmg events, the Ghana Chamber of Mines and Events & Projects International. Now past the thirty-year mark, the fair was held every two years for a long time; with the 2025 edition it began taking place every year.

Mining activity in West Africa bears directly on the crushing and screening field.

At gold and bauxite sites in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mali and Burkina Faso, ore goes through crushing and grinding stages before it reaches beneficiation. That is why the questions put to us at the fair centred on capacity and wear cost.

A conference programme also runs alongside the fair. Known in the past as WAMPOC, it focuses on investment and energy supply rather than on site operations.

For us, the fair confirmed that interest in the region is increasingly directed at lines able to handle abrasive material while keeping wear cost under control.
