In the Saudi market, infrastructure and housing investments run on long-term programmes. For a quarry operator that means predictable demand; since the annual tonnage target carries no uncertainty when the line is designed, capacity can be selected more precisely.

The uncertainty lies elsewhere: the material.

Quarries in the region cover a wide range in terms of hardness and abrasive content. Two plants aiming at the same tonnage end up with completely different crusher combinations depending on the type of rock.

That is why the first question discussed at our stand is not capacity but quarry analysis; a tonnage figure quoted without knowing the hardness and the size distribution of the feed material will not hold up on site.
