10th Turkmenistan Export Products Fair: Meeting the Central Asian Market in Ashgabat

Ashgabat is hosting the 10th Turkmenistan Export Products Fair, and our team is there. The event serves the entire regional market and has for years been held with the backing of the Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Turkish Ministry of Trade.

Behind the organisation is Meridyen Uluslararası Fuarcılık, which has been staging exhibitions abroad since 1998. In the exhibitor categories, construction machinery and construction technologies are listed under two distinct headings.

A state-backed fair attracts a different kind of visitor.

It is not only private companies that stop by the stands; institutional buyers and organisations purchasing on behalf of the public sector sit at the table too. Conversations therefore move away from a single machine and towards complete plant scale and a supply relationship spanning several years.

Two topics come up in almost every meeting with Central Asian buyers: how many days the line needs before it starts producing, and how long spare parts take to reach the site. Both answers are now an integral part of the quotation file.
