Correct gradation and low clay/silt are essential to the mix. Mixing and dosing use concrete batching plants, aggregate grading uses vibrating screens, and clay/fines removal uses washing & screening plants.
- High clay in aggregate lowers concrete strength and is removed by washing.
- Sand equivalent and particle distribution are planned to the target concrete class.
- Plant type (stationary/mobile) is chosen to output volume and site conditions.
