The 2022 Model GSD-1215 Secondary Impact Crusher, Developed for Hard Rock

We keep developing the designs of our crushing plants and equipment in line with innovative technologies. One of the latest results of this work, the 2022 model GSD-1215 secondary impact crusher, was designed with customers in mind who look for strength and durability in hard stone.

The task of the secondary stage is to take the material reduced by the primary crusher and bring it down to a saleable size. What decides the outcome at this stage is not crushing force alone, but how well grain shape and size distribution can be kept under control.

The harder the material, the more demanding the design.

Impact crushing is preferred because it produces cubical grains, yet in hard and abrasive materials the impact elements wear quickly. In the GSD-1215, the rotor blow bars and body armour have been developed to last a long time even in stone and ore materials that can be costly for rotor crushers.

The aim is to extend the replacement interval of wear parts without lowering crushing efficiency, and for an operation this shows up directly in the cost per tonne.
